Environmental and Engineering Feasibility Assessment Studies

In line with the IRP's recommendations on the way forward, additional studies and trials have been pursued. First of these is the "Environmental & Engineering Feasibility Assessment Studies in relation to the way forward for the Harbour Area Treatment Scheme" (the EEFS).

The study, commenced in Nov 2001, has now been completed. It confirms that, while the four IRP options should be technically feasible, the option to centralize treatment for all sewage at Stonecutters Island is the most attractive one.
